Substitute Teacher in After School and School

Tjustaskolan is a rural school surrounded by horse pastures and varied nature, located between Håbo Tibble and Håtuna churches. Here, 15 adults work, and there are about 100 students from preschool class up to grade 6.

Job Description

The tasks for a substitute in the after-school program include pedagogical work in preschool class, school, and after-school care, as well as break activities.

You collaborate in class during school hours where the responsible teacher is in charge of distributing the work. This may include supporting students individually or in groups. You are an active break supervisor during students' breaks, and in the afternoons, you work in after-school care. You may also substitute in our preschool.

As a substitute teacher, your tasks include conducting (and sometimes planning) lessons in various subjects depending on needs. You have supervisory responsibility for the class/students before and after lessons, and it also includes being a break supervisor a couple of times during the week.

The position as a substitute means that you will be contacted when there is a need for substitutes.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a high school education, preferably with a childcare education
• has a strong interest in working with children and youth
• understands the importance of being a good role model.
• has a B driver's license

Previous experience as a childcare worker is an advantage.

You are positive and have an easy time collaborating and connecting with both students and adults. As a substitute, it is an advantage if you are stress-resistant and flexible and can easily adapt to new conditions as the needs of the operation constantly change and are always prioritized. Due to the geographical location, it is helpful if you have access to a car. You should be able to work during all operational hours, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM.
